Betty passed away peacefully in Huntington Beach, CA, after suffering a major stroke. She is survived by her Son Bruce; daughter-in-law Debbie; grandchildren Suzanne , Sharon, and Catherine; great grand-children Hailey and Alisa. Born Elizabeth Frances Mathieson in Vancouver, BC, Canada to Scottish immigrant parents Frank and Elizabeth Mathieson, moved to Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Hamilton High School. Betty competed in Scottish Highland dancing at the 1939 San Francisco Worlds Fair. Betty then relocated to Vancouver BC where she married Alex Ferrier in 1941. After the war years, she moved to Yakima, WA. Betty then moved to Culver City, CA, in 1958. She then moved to Victorville, CA, in 1984 and afterwards moved to Fountain Valley, CA, in 1990, where she resided until her passing. Betty was active in the United Scottish Society, Daughters of Scotia (Lady Cameron Lodge), Emblem Club, and The Red Hat Society. Betty attended Beachpoint Church, Fountain Valley, CA.
