BOY DROWNED IN HARBOUR
Worked On Ferry
A deckhand fell from the Bal-main ferry Project and was drowned yesterday afternoon.
He was Raymond Harold May, 16, of Jane Street, Balmain. When the ferry was about 100 yards from the Erskine Street ferry wharf a member of the crew saw May struggling in the water and the ferry turned back. When the ferry reached the scene May had disappeared. The body has not been recovered. Anyone who saw the accident is asked to contact Sergeant Edwards, of the Water Police.
