Wanda A. Mayfield, 88, of Morgantown, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015, at her home. Born in Dellslow, West Virginia on March 2, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Creigh and Daisy (Mayfield) Hagedorn.
She was a faithful member of Mellon’s Chapel (Grace Bible Church) in Dellslow, and, for many years, was the reporter for the Senior Monongalians in the Dominion News, in addition to writing a number of other lifestyles articles.
Surviving are her two children, Randy Sine and his wife Carolyn (Rice) Sine, of Dellslow, and Mary L. “Susie” Sine, of Morgantown; a daughter-in-law, Linda Sine; four grandchildren, Randy Sine, Jr. and his wife Amy, Tiffany Sine, Stacey Sine and Lisa Sine; three great-grandchildren, Randy Sine, III, Jordan Sine and Dakota Burns ; and one brother, Thomas Hagedorn of Lorian, Ohio.
Deceased are her two husbands, James L. Sine and Kenneth Mayfield; and one son, James David Sine.
The family will receive friends in the Mellon Chapel (Grace Bible Church) in Dellslow, on Saturday, April 4, 2015, from 1 – 2 PM. Memorial services begin at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Joe Peters officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa.
