FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Mrs. Georgia Jennie Clark, 80, a resident of Salinas, California for 11 years, passed away in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hazel Atnip, 538 Sunrise Street, Salinas, Saturday morning. Her death followed about a two-year period of failing health.
Mrs. Clark was a member of the Congregational Church in Little River, Kansas. She was a 50-year member of the Rebeka Lodge No. 172 of Lyons, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Corner Stone Chapter No. 310, Little River.
The Clark family is well remembered here for the fine druggist Mr. Clark was and for the lively, well-liked family. Mrs. Clark, we remember as a pleasantly, peppery lady with strong likes and dislikes; a good friend and an equally good enemy.
Besides Mrs. Atnip, she is survived by four other children, Mrs. Isaac Mock of Frederickburg, Iowa, John of Santa Clara, California, Mrs. Albert Clark of Denver, and William of Arcadia, California; also 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Corner Stone Chapter, O.E.S. is in charge of graveside services at Bean cemetery this afternoon.
