Marie Mayfield Berkman, 92, was born Minnie Marie Mayfield on October 6, 1921, in Bloomington, Illinois, to Carl & Dora Mayfield.

She moved to OKC and met Sidney Berkman. They were married on October 6, 1945. They had three children, Diane Thomas, David Berkman, and Jonathon Berkman.

Marie was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling, playing games and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Dora Mayfield; brother, Johnny Mayfield; sister, Dorthy Bethers; brother-in-law, Ray Bethers; and daughter, Diane Thomas.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 68 years, Sidney Berkman; sons, David and wife Cathy and Jonathon and wife Dea; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Piedmont First United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
