Funeral services for Bernice M. DOBBS, 76, of Sallisaw were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mallory-Wheeler Chapel in Sallisaw, with Rodney Roberson officiating. Burial was, in Maple Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Wheeler funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. DOBBS was born Aug. 7, 1922, in Muldrow, to William Watie MAYFIELD and Violet (CUDD) MAYFIELD. She died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Grace Living Center in Muskogee. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon and Linda; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Linda; one sister, Muriel; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. DOBBS was preceded in death by her husband, William Lafayette "Fate" DOBBS May 21, 1984, her parents, one son, Bill and one sister, Anna GIPSON.
