Mrs. Gene Mayfield Jones
Mrs. Gene Mayfield Jones, 55, of 420 Prospect Ave., Charleston, died in a Charleston Hospital, April 18, following an extended illness.
She was born in Ritchie County, on Jan. 4, 1915, a daughter of James H. and Ina G. Brown Mayfield of 557 Worthington Drive, Bridgeport.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Richard S. Jones; three sons: James and Steven Jones, both of Richmond, Va., and Mark Jones at home; one daughter: Miss Kathryn Jones, at home; one brother, W. W. Mayfield, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Mrs. Jones was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in South Charleston.
She attended Hood College and Ohio University.
