Mary Maynor Benford, 81, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Phillip Norwood Benford, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel Tuesday, June 7, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Mary was born October 21, 1934 in Dillon, South Carolina, daughter of the late Paul and Mabel Maynor.
She is survived by her daughter, Regina "Jeannie" Benford Dobson (Allen) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her son, Michael "Mike" Benford of Mt. Pleasant, SC; three grandsons, Christopher "Chris" Stockman (Tammy), Phillip A. Dobson (special friend Anika), and Matthew "Matt" Stockman; five great-grandchildren, Dylan Stockman, Madison Stockman, Bobby Stockman, Abbigail "Abby" Dobson, and Chanler Dobson; her brothers, Grady Maynor, Bill Maynor (Betty); and her sister, Pat Cannon (Harry).
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Benford Stockman Zack, and her son,
Phillip Norwood Benford, Jr.
