Mrs. Harriet Banks
Mrs. Harriet E. Banks, 76, died early yesterday morning at the home,
Asheville, RFD 1 [Woodfin], following a short illness. Surviving are three
sons, G.B., W.S. and A.J. Banks; three daughters, Alta Benfield, Mrs. Charles
L.Edwards, and Mrs. James De(???); one brother, Garfield Wood, two sisters,
Miss Samantha Wood, and Mrs. Floyd Smith, and a number of grandchildren and
great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anders-
Rice Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. today with the Rev. William Hensley
officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be V.E.
Burleson, Floyd Williams, Baxter Renfro, Paul Baker, Johnny Brown and Marion
Burrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Lawrence Sprinkle, Dr. O.N.
Sprinkle, Ralph Young, John Ramsey, and Loranzo Banks.
