Dorothy (Dotty) Alexander, 79, born June 22, 1930, in Garner, Arkansas, to Dalton and Myrtice Hole McAlexander, entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2010 in Longview, Texas.

Mrs. Alexander was married to Sam Alexander in 1950 and moved to Longview in 1954. She was a member of Greggton First Baptist Church, where she was very active in many women's groups and served in the Prayer Chapel at Greggton First Baptist.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Dotty is survived by her daughter, Nancy Shelton and a son Richard Alexander.

The family will receive guest from 3-8 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2010 at Lakeview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Greggton First Baptist Church with interment following at Lakeview Memorial Gardens
