Ruth Ella Riffe, age 64, of Matheny WV, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Raleigh General Hospital Beckley WV.
Born May 12, 1950, in Henry County VA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Keith McAlexander (1915-1999) and Florence Emaline Griffith-McAlexander (1915-2006).
She had been a resident of Matheny for the past eight years having lived in Coalwood prior too. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Jean McAlexander-Murr (Deceased).
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Riffe-Allen (1967-2014) of the home, and Debbie Riffe-Stewart of Matheny WV, two sons, Robert "Buck" Riffe of the home, and David Riffe of Pineville WV, one brother Charlie McAlexander of Bassett VA, two sisters, Vergie McAlexander-Rakes, of Fieldale, VA, and Bonnie McAlexander-Harvey of Summerville N.C., ten Grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and her ex-husband, Britton Riffe of Pineville WV.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 11 A.M. from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch with Reverend Carl Cline, officiating. Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Gardens in Matheny WV.
