She was born to Frank and Louise Taraba McCoy. Jane Marie's mother died the next day after she was born. Neighbors of the family, Allie and Asa Bennett, cared for her and when she was about age 16 adopted her. She married to Dr. James Edward Vick on January 1, 1955. They were parents of three children. Following her husband's death in 1980 she remarried a Mr. Chubb
