Jeanne was born in York, on December 7, 1921, a daughter of the late Taylor and Ella (Daniels) McCracken.
She was a registered nurse, having worked for the late Dr. Farkas and at the York Hospital. She was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. She was a member of Otterbein U.M. Church, Shiloh Garden Club, and was a former chairperson of the Book Nook for the York Hospital.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Gerald and Nancy Hoffman of York, Virginia and Robert Eberly of York, Dr. Bruce and Nina Gilmore of Arlington, Va., Bob and Ann Hagar of Phoenix, Ariz., Rebecca McCracken of York, and William Gilmore of New York; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Loss; two sisters, Mary Hoffman and Elmira Gilmore; and a brother, George McCracken.
Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
