Mary Polly McDonald Adams cohabited on and off with William Pritchartt, cared for him until his death in 1830 and bore two of his children, William Pritchartt and Mary Pritchartt. For some reason he would not marry her even though a covenant was drawn up November of 1818 prior to his departure to Philidelphia, and should he not return to marry, she was entitled to $6000 from his estate. She held him to this after his death with a lawsuit.

They did not as he gave them to her. In reference to the depostition by Mary Polly McDonald Adams in 1832 she summoned as her witnesses, Mary Garrett, Eliza Ater (her daughter) and a Kitty and Elizabeth Admas. We are unable to establish relationships for last two names but will continue to research. Mary Ashton was Mary nee Spangler or McDonald and may be a sister to Polly.
2000 Poster had researcher Elwood Shirley, in Lexington investigate this family and he concluded that the parents of Mary McDonald moved out of state possibly to Indiana. We have been unable to locate them or siblings.

Abraham S Drake administrator ordered Francis McLear, Leonard Wheeler ,Jacob Ashton and Charles Norton who have been appointed by the Fayette County Court to view and appraise the person estate of Polly Adams deceased personally appeared before the subscriber a justice of the peace for said County and were sworn to view
said property.
In her estate Dr Baker was paid for taking care of her grandchild. We are unable to figure this out as she lived in Lexington and her known son lived in St Louis Mo. This is under study and will continue until facts are sorted out correctly. The only grandchild we can say in 1848 would be William W Ater b 1832, however he was almost of age 16.
Aug 2020 grandchild may be fannie Ater born 1832 oe William Aurer born about same time
