Eloise recieved her education from Lee Street Elementary and lee Street High Schools in Blackshear, GA.
Mrs. Jeffeson was preceded in death by her father, Major McGauley, Sr.; her mother, Mary helen McGauley; four brothers, charles Omega McGauley, Harold E. McGauley, Lee Henry McGauley, and Major McGauley, Jr.; four sisters, Margaret "Sussie" Jackson, Anne Marie Whitehead, Carnell McGauley, and Martha Steward.
On Sunday afternoon, October 1, 2006, she departed this life and entered eternal rest after an extended illness.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, a long time companion, Willie Lee Lockett, Waycross; two sisters, Mae Pearl Bircham, Atlanta, GA, and Gloria Wesley, Waycross; four brothers , Johnell McGauley (Marvel), Merced, CA, Nathaniel McGauley (Eldon), Blackshear, Dewey McGauley, Miami, FL, and Simon McGauley (Elizabeth), Huntsville, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
