James P. McGinn, a well known and highly esteemed citizen of this county who died from heart failure at his home about four miles northeast of our city, Saturday July 21, 1917, was born at his late residence in 1863 and has always lived there.
He never married but with the help of his brothers and two sisters has farmed the old homestead.
The deceased had many friends thru out the County and will be greatly missed about the home.
The funeral services were held at the St. Matthew's Catholic church Monday morning July 23 with Rev. Father McQuaide officiating after which interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
Besides a very large number of friends, he leaves to mourn his sudden death, three sisters, Misses Rena and Mary at home and Mrs. John R. McQuaide of Darlington, also two brothers, Henry and Thomas, all of whom have the sympathy of the community.
