Rita Jenkins, age 77 of Gallatin, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013. Mrs. Jenkins was born February 17, 1936 in Binghamton, NY, daughter of the late Francis and Alice Greene McGovern. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack T. Jenkins. She is survived by sons, Kevin Jenkins (Ladonna) of Augusta, GA and Keith Jenkins (Carole) of Brunswick, GA; daughters, Karen Hudson (Bobby) of Gallatin, TN and Kathleen Dyches (Tony) of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Amanda Mahoney of Nashville, TN, Lauren Mahoney of Hendersonville, TN, Lara Porcel-Hall (Michael) of Aiken, SC, Amber Derrick (Justin ) of Aiken, SC, Jason Jenkins of Augusta, GA, Tony Reyes (Robin) of Augusta, GA, Joe Reyes (Edie) of Thompson, GA, Jennifer Jenkins of Los Angeles, CA, Joshua Pipes (Melissa) of Brunswick,GA, Matthew Pipes (Kristy) of Las Vegas, NV, Jennifer Tuya (Mike) of Brunswick, GA and Jessica Landrum (Herbert) of Columbia, SC and 21 great-grandchildren. The family welcomes friends to a Celebration of Life on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 6-8 pm at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Bobby Hudson, 348 Woodlands Drive, Gallatin, TN.
