Rita B. Burns, 91, of 4055 Longbranch Rd., Liverpool, NY, and formerly of Shaver Ave., died Monday in the Birchwood Healthcare Center, Liverpool, NY. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and the late Susan (McHugh) McGovern. Survived by one daughter, Kathleen (Donald) Arsenault of North Syracuse, NY; one sister, Margaret McKernan; one granddaughter, Colleen Arsenault; several nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her husband, Patrick in 1995. Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sears - Middleton - Jones Funeral Home Inc., 209 North Main Street (Rt 11), North Syracuse, NY. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima, 409 S. Main Street, North Syracuse. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. The family requests memorial donations be sent to Partner for Youth Program, c/o YMCA, 340 Montgomery St., Syracuse, NY 13202.
