Augusta, GA – Mrs. Nell McNair Arrington, 71, entered into rest Saturday, May 19, 2012.
Mrs. Arrington was a native of Jefferson County but lived in Augusta most of her life. She was a graduate of Wrens High School and Georgia Southern University. She taught Home Economics at Westside High School for 30 years. Mrs. Arrington also worked in the Men's Department at JB Whites for many years. She enjoyed cooking, planning food for others, taking trips, fishing, and watching baseball.
Family members include sister: Letitia McNair Peel and husband Bob, Ann Sheffield; brothers: Lewis McNair and wife Ann, George R. McNair and wife Eleanor; friend: Alton Andrews; friend's daughter: Holly Andrews; friend's grandson: Aaron Andrews; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Dan White officiating. Burial in Ways Baptist Church Cemetery in Stellaville, GA. Pallbearers were Stephen McNair, Jim McNair, Brandon Burnside, Ashley Williams, Ronnie Burnside, and William McNair. Honorary pallbearers were her graduating class from Wrens High School.
