Chloe Meade Baker, age 92, Harrodsburg Health Care Center, widow of Winfield "Red" Baker died Monday, December 01, 2003 at the health care center.

Born April 20, 1911 in Magoffin County, she was the daughter of the late Wannie Clay and Mary Wheeler Meade.

She was former co-owner of Baker Hardware on main street Harrodsburg, later known as Meade Hardware, She had a special love for birds, flowers (particularly roses) cooking, friends and family and was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.

Survivors include: one sister, Nola Lemaster, Chillicothe, OH and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd, Rollie, Tollie and Albert "Al" Meade and one sister Eulah Meade.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, December 4th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Don Chase. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James D. Schauseil, Stephen Meade, Charles Meade, Wannie Fairchild, Darryl Lemaster, Larry Short, and Alfred Russell.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 pm Wednesday and after 7:30 am Thursday at the chapel.
