Mrs. Maude Carle, 55, former resident of Wilkes-Barre died yesterday afternoon at Nanticoke State Hospital. She was born in Wilkes-Barre and lived in this city the major part of her life.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John Stanley, Kingston; sisters, Mrs. Cora Betzer, Nanticoke; Mrs. Lilly Jenkins, Forty Fort; Mrs. Emily Garrison, Wilkes-Barre; brothers, Edward Meade, Wilkes-Barre and Irving Meade, Kingston.
Remains have been taken to L. P. Kniffen's Son Funeral Home, 465 South Main Street, from where the funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2.
