Mrs. Lou Meade De Forest, aged 70, widow of Homer DeForest, died in Overlook Sanitarium at New Wilmington, after an extended illness.
Mrs. De Forest was the daughter of the late Rev. & Mrs. O.L. Meade, her father having been a prominent pastor in the Erie Conference of the Methodist Episcopal church. She married in New Castle to Homer DeForest, pioneer Sharon grocer, Jan 4, 1880 and went to Sharon to reside.
Following the death of her husband, she went to the home of her nephew M.V. DeForest of Sharon to reside.
She leaves a son Clyde of Buffalo, New York, a sister Mrs. Mary Smiley of Foxburg, Pa. A brother Rev. C.O. Meade, died about 2 months ago in Grove City, Pa.
Funeral services will be held from the home of M.V. DeForest of Sharon, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Buried 23 July 1930 in the lot owned by Mryten V. DeForest.
