Services for Rosella M. Zacharias, 91, of 606 S. Walnut Ave., who died at 3:50 a.m. Thursday at her home, will be at 1:30 pm. Saturday at Hansen Funeral Home.
The Revs. John Schenck and Gary Albert of Immanuel Lutheran Church will officiate. Bruce Jensema will be the organist, and Duane Helgerson will be the soloist.
Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville. Pallbearers will be John, Donald and Duane Knoll, David Steltenpohl and Lawrence and Donald Berkholtz.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today and again Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 31, 1902, in Marshfield, to the late Frank and Christina (Schutzen) Meitner. As a child, she moved to Arpin, where her parents farmed. She attended Marshfield and rural Arpin schools. After her education, she helped her parents until her marriage.
She was married to Percy Dupee in 1921, and they were later divorced. She was married to John W. Knoll in 1931, and he died in 1949. She was married to Leo Zacharias in 1951, and he died in 1974.
After her first marriage, they moved to Milwaukee, where she lived for six years. She then returned to Arpin and was employed in the area. After her second marriage, she and her husband farmed in rural Arpin until 1943. They then moved to Addison, Ill., where they were employed by Lutheran Orphanage until 1948. At that time they returned to Arpin. After the death of her second husband, she moved back to Addison until 1951. After her third marriage, she and her husband farmed in the Arpin area, and she was employed by Bethel Living Center and Wood County Hospital until retiring. She then lived in Junction City and later moved to Marshfield, where she lived until the time of her death. She had been in ill health for the last six months.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Palmer Ritchie Post, Pittsville, for more than 50 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Urban (Lavere) Zuehlke of Wisconsin Rapids; one son, Robert U. Knoll of Marshfield; one foster son, Kenneth Warren of Beaver Dam; three sisters, Lola Gagas of Stevens Point, Mrs. Maynard (Irene) Omemik of Oakland, Calif., and Christe Steltenpohl of Marshfield; one brother, George Meitner of Marshfield; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was also predeceased by one step-son, Byron Spangler, one sister and one brother.
