Mrs. Cristina Mella, age 99, of Florence, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth.She was a native of Morcone Provincia, Benevento, Italy. She moved with her family to Bronx, N.Y., a number of years ago and had resided in Florence with her daughter, Angelamaria and her husband, William Wall, for the past 20 years. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Florian, Ala.Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at St. Michael Catholic Church from 6 to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 8 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church at 11 a.m., with burial to follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Abbott Victor Clark, O.S.B.She is survived by her daughter, Angelamaria Wall and husband, William, of Florence; grandchildren, Frank A. Wall, D.M.D., of Florence, William L. Wall, M.D., of Birmingham, Savino Grandilli and wife, Megan, of Feehold, N.J., Emily Bryd and husband, Greg, of Florida, Cristina Doherty and husband, Joseph, of Atlanta, Ga.; and four great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will include the members of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Thomas H. Hruby, David Berrens, Michael OMara, Wylie Chafin, Roy Long, David Pongetti, Peter A.
