Clara (Mershon) Buroff of Rahway died on Thursday, April 22, at Center For Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains. She was 91. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 26, at 12:30 p.m. from the Corey-Ragan Funeral Home, 259 Elm Ave., Rahway, thence to the Vanderhoven Chapel at Hazelwood Cemetery, Clark, for a 1 p.m. service. Cremation will be private. Mrs. Buroff was born in Rahway and resided there all of her life. She had second homes in Beach Haven, N.J; Lake Worth, Fla., and Forest City, Pa. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rahway and its Tuesday Ladies Fellowship Group. Mrs. Buroff was also a member of the Mershon Association, where she served as genealogist and president; member of DAR-Rebecca Cornell Chapter, Twins Mothers Club-Manhattan Chapter and the Triplet Mothers Club-N.J. Chapter. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas C. Buroff, in 2001. Surviving are Arthur, Peter, Nancy and Diane Buroff, Sandra Carson, Jean Leedy and Joan Swearer, and 10 grandchildren.
