James R. Cowman, who residence is unknown, will take notice that Millie Cowman, on the 29th day of June, A. D., 1946, filed her petition
in the Court of Common Pleas within and for the County of Highland and State of Ohio, being Case No. 15,243, and object and prayer of which is for divorce from said James R. Cowman on the grounds of gross neglect of duty and extreme cruelty, and for exclusive custody and control of Frances Jo Cowman and Charles Russell Cowman, minor children, of said parties, and for such other relief as is proper.
Note the above notice also ran in this newspaper on the following dates:
7/5/1946, 7/9/1946, 7/16/1946, 7/23/1946, 8/6/1946 and then on 9/13/1946

Following the ceremony, a reception was entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mershon, Greenfield. The couple are residing on Hillsboro Rt. 1.

Millie Mershon Cartwright, 79, of Frankfort, formerly of the New Petersburg community, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at the Old Town Friendly Rest, Frankfort.
Born June 26, 1921, in New Petersburg, she was the daughter of Charles Mershon and Ella Cox Mershon.
She is survived by one daughter, Frances Rogers of Hillsboro; three sons, Charles Cowman of Bainbridge, Michael Stone of New Petersburg and Kevin Stone of Hillsboro; three step-sons, Gary Cartwright of Greenfield and Dan Cartwright of Greenfield; three step-daughters, Barb Mootispaw of Greenfield, Karen Hutchinson of Greenfield and Bonnie Cartwright of Florida, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 19 step-grandchildren, 28 step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Eugene Stone on Aug. 31, 1954, and Ora Cartwright on Nov. 16, 1978; four brothers, Harry Mershon, Thomas Mershon, Joseph Mershon, and Percey Mershon; and five sisters, Ruth Bluff, Grace Mershon, Elsie Shepard, Catherine Mershon and Sudie Mershon.
A retired nurses aide, she was a member of the New Petersburg Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. today at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home, Greenfield, with Pastor Troy Villars officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gilboa Cemetery, New Petersburg. Visitation will be today from 12-2 P.M. at the funeral home.
