Please delete this text: Her marriage to Gillum Baley took place in Missouri, before they both came West to California.

Please replace it with this text: Miss Permelia Eleanor Meyers married Gillum Baley on 21 Aug 1836 in Jackson County, Missouri. Between 1837-1861, she bore him eleven children, all of whom reached adulthood. She maintained a home for seven children in Nodaway County, Missouri from 1849-1853 while her husband and two of his brothers were in the gold fields of California. In 1858, she and now ten children endured the hardships of the "Disaster At The Colorado" (see book by the same name), arriving in Visalia in November 1859.
