(Nee Miller) Passed away Dec. 23, 2010 at the age of 92. Bernice was born in Green Bay and as a teenager worked at Baum’s Department Store. During WWII she was a purchasing agent for the military. After the war she moved to Chicago where she was buyer for children’s clothing for a department store. She returned to Green Bay where she met her husband, Milton, at a Packer game in 1947. In 1968, they moved to Appleton where they owned a liquor store. Milton passed away in 2002 shortly after they moved to Milwaukee.
Cherished mother of Ira (Nancy) and Howard (Lynn) Kaufman. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Donald Miller. Further survived by special niece, Ellen (Dennis) Slan, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, Dec. 26, at Spring Hill Cemetery, 166 S. Hawley Ct., Milwaukee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any Jewish organization of your choice.
