Esther May Breeden, 91, of Garden City passed away May 7, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, May 11, 2009 at Cloverdale Funeral Home with burial following at Cloverdale Memorial Park. A gathering for family and friends will follow the service at the Cloverdale Funeral Home Reception Center.

Esther was born in 1917 to John and Grace Miller of Bozeman, MT. She spent all but one of her school years in Bozeman, and graduated from Gallatin County High School Bozeman class of ‘36.

Esther had one daughter, Joann, and one son, Eddie, from her first marriage to Glen Johnson. Her son passed at the age of 6.

Esther married Emmett Breeden in 1948 at which time she and Emmett made their home in Boise where she resided until 2006. Her family and friends recall many happy times spent in her home. Esther was a very talented seamstress, cook, gardener and homemaker. She worked many years as a secretarial clerk. She was a charter member of the Boise Elketts and a 35 years member of the Eagle Auxiliary. Esther traveled to many countries with her longtime friend Arlis Joslin.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Emmett, her son Eddie, and her sister Ruth McCloud.

Esther will be loved and missed by her daughter Joann Jaramillo and son-in-law, Rudy; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.

The family would like to thank the Emerson House caregivers and Care First Hospice.
