Obituary from The Post-Register (Idaho Falls, ID) - Sunday, August 8, 1948:
Mrs. Elsie Miller Beck, 50, of Archer, died Friday night at an Idaho Falls hospital following an illness of several years.
She was born in Germany, August 11, 1897, the daughter of Elizabeth Heinz and George Miller. When she was three years of age she came to America with her parents who were converts to the LDS Church.
She first lived in the Rexburg vicinity for many years attending the public schools there. She was married to Clarence Beck of LaBelle in the Logan LDS Temple June 9, 1921.
Following their marriage they lived at LaBelle for several years then moved to Archer where they have lived ever since.
Mrs. Beck was an active member of the LDS Church serving for many years as Relief Society teacher and working in the various organizations.
Survivors include the husband and the following sons and daughters: Merlin Beck, Mud Lake; Mrs. Reva Allen, Ogden; Ralph Beck, Rigby; Wayne Beck, Lyman; Earl Beck, Clea Beck, and Von Beck, all of Archer. One sister, Mrs. Frieda Luthy, Logan, Utah, and four grandchildren, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Archer LDS Church with Bishop W.I Holley officiating. Burial will be in the Archer-Lyman Cemetery.
