CARTERET - The funeral of Mrs. Mary Minue, 80, 6 Mary Street, took place from the Bizub Funeral Home, 54 Wheeler Avenue on Monday morning at 9 A.M.

Services were held at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Church at 9:30 A.M. Interment in Cloverleaf Park Cemetery, Woodbridge.

Mrs. Minue died last Friday at the home of her son, Michael at 6 Mary Street after a short illness.

She was a resident of Carteret for 46 years. A member of St. Demetrius Ukrainian Church and the Ukrainian National Association. She was the mother of the late Pvt. Nicholas Minue, who received the Congressional Medal of Honor. She received the medal for him at Delaware on March 15, 1944. Pvt. Nicholas Minue was seriously injured on April 29, 1943 in World War II. He died October 1943.

She was the widow of the late John Minue.

Surviving are one son, Michael; one daughter, Mrs. Ambrose Smith of Montclair, N.J.; several grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
