Albert was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Judy Marie Mirabal and his in-laws, Juan Bautista Baca and Angelita Telles Baca and wife's grandparents, Pablo Telles and Rosa Sandoval. He had been the last surviving member of his family. He was the son of the deceased Flavio G. Mirabal and Angelita McKinley. His sister , Petra and husband, Carpio Lucero; his brother,Liberato and wife, Adelina (Baldonado) Mirabal; and brother, Daniel Flavio Mirabal. His parental grandparents were Romualdo Mirabal and Petra Gonzales. His Maternal grandparents were Ysidro McKinley and Apolonia Herrera. Albert's family has lived in New Mexico for nine generations. Born in Antequera, Andalucia, Spain, his ancestor, Don Carlos Jose Perez de Mirabal arrived with his brother, a Franciscan friar, Don fray Juan Jose Perez de Mirabal in the 1720's.
