Judith A. (Monaco) Brownell, 63, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of Richard A. Brownell and loving mother of Todd A. Zurman of Glastonbury, died Tuesday (March 30, 2010) at Hartford Hospital. Born January 4, 1947, in Hartford, daughter of the late John J. and Lucille (Millis) Monaco, she had lived in Glastonbury most of her life. Judy was a Receptionist-New Accounts at Merrill Lynch retiring in 2007. She previously was a receptionist at Travelers Reinsurance and GenRe. Judy graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1964, and Creative Hairdressing School in Hartford in 1965, and had attended Art school in Boston. Besides her husband and son, she is survived by her step-children, Jennifer Genung of Vermont, Susan Schaefer of New York, James Brownell of Vernon; her uncle and aunt, James and Lee Millis of East Hartford; her godmother, Adele Williams of Glastonbury; and many cousins and dear friends.
