Donna Rae Moneypenny, 69, passed away suddenly to be with the Lord on December 2, 2010. She graduated from Ellet High School in 1959, worked at AGMC as a Nursing Assistant, and retired from General Electric after 25 years of service. Donna belonged to the Community of Christ Church, and was an avid ballroom dancer and skater in her younger years. In her later years, she enjoyed walks in the park, traveling, spending time with her family and helping others in need. Donna was preceded in death by her father, James Robertson. She is survived by her daughters, Yvonne (Ted) Carter and Valerie (Richard) Petersen; mother, Myrtle Robertson; siblings, Beverly Myers, Joanne (James) Feick, William Robertson and Joseph (Denise) Robertson; grandchildren, Melissa, Monica, Ashley, Christine, Christopher and Kylan; great-grandchildren, Madilyn, Molly, Jacob, Raina, Seth, Jaden, Lexis and Lily; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Calling hours will be held Monday, December 6, from 5 to 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will be held on Tuesday, December 7, at 2 pm with a visitation 1 hour prior. Elder Carolyn DeHart to officiate. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
