Emalda "Mel" Josephine Castro, age 72, beloved wife and mother, was called to her eternal resting place on December 30, 2015.
Emalda entered this world on July 20, 1943 in Alamosa, CO, born to Candido and Cleotilda Montaño.
Emalda was preceded in death by both of her parents, two sisters, Ruby and Connie and her husband, Joseph Castro Sr. Emalda is survived by her two sons, Joseph Jr. and Kenneth, three sisters, Viola, Patricia and Cyd, two brothers, Gilbert and Sonny and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. at French – Wyoming with interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations on her behalf to the American Cancer Society.
