Angie Borrego, 81, of Erie, Colorado, was called to her heavenly home on September 17, 2016. She was born in Walsenburg, CO on March 15, 1935 to Pilar and Viola (Meehan) Montano.

Angie married Al Borrego on April 18, 1953. They spent 63 wonderful years making a home in Erie. For 30 years, she volunteered at the Erie Food Pantry. Angie loved to spend time with her family, work crossword and Sudoku puzzles, as well as take an occasional trip to the casinos.

Angie is survived by her husband, a daughter, granddaughter, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her son, Donnie; and brothers, Eddie and Buddy Montano.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2016, Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Home Chapel, 503 Terry St., Longmont, CO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 22, 2016 at St. Scholastica Catholic Church. 575 Wells St., Erie, CO. Interment will follow Mass at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 520 Colliers Blvd., Erie.
