"Mrs. Carmen R. Montano died Friday, December 30, 2005. She was 95 years old.

A long-time resident of Douglas, she was born in Orizaba, Veracruz in 1910 and moved to Agua Prieta, Sonora as a child along with her mother and brother at the height of the Mexican Revolution of 1910-1917. She was married to Jose M. Montano for 55 years until he passed away in 1984. She was a wife, mother and homemaker.

She is survived by her six children and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren.

Her children, Mr. Ricardo R. Montano (Elvira) of Douglas, Arizona, Mrs. Rebeca Arvayo (Jose) of Bisbee, Arizona, Mr. Roque R. Montano (Ofelia) of Riverside, California, Mrs. Rosa Delia Alvarado (widowed) of Tucson, Arizona, Rogelio R. Montano (Susana) of Riverside, California and Mrs. Maria Rosario Montano-Harmond (Ronald) of Brea California.

A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 6, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Gilbert Malu officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery."
