Graveside services will be held Friday Nov. 9, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. in the West Side District Cemetery, Taft, California for Alice Josephine Bramlet, age 90, who went to be with the Lord, October 30, 2001 in Bakersfield.
She was born in Texas July 4, 1911. She had been a resident of Taft for over 40 years. Alice was a published poetess and an accomplished artist. She will be sorely missed by her loved ones and friends.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, her 13 grandchildren, her 11 great grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew and numerous other relatives.
In lieu of flowers please contribute to the American Red Cross in her name.
Her cremains are interned in her mother's burial space.

Alice's father was Goethe Alva McGalliard. He died in 1914 and then her mother Effie married Morris Moody in 1921. McGalliard's memorial is not yet found. I don't know if Moody adopted the two sisters, but their birth father was McGalliard.
