Madolyn Moody Chandler

Madolyn Chandler passed away in Auburn, Calif., on February 5, 2010. She was 98.
Madolyn was born in Oakland, CA to Joseph and Marion Moody. She received her Bachelor's degree from the Santa Barbara State Teacher's College. She married Alfred Chandler in Sept. of 1941. Besides being a pastor's wife, Madolyn worked as a librarian and teacher and loved volunteering as a Hospital Pink Lady and serving at the Inter-Faith Food Closet in Auburn. Madolyn was an active member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church and choral group, since singing was her passion. She is fondly remembered as a "great party planner".
Madolyn is survived by her husband, Rev. Alfred T. Chandler (101), of Auburn, Calif.; son Stephen M. Chandler of Auburn, Calif.; daughter Elaine J. Chandler (Leonard L. Kunz) of Aurora, Colo.; granddaughter Tamara A. Kunz of Pueblo, Colo.; grandson Andrew Chandler (Angela) of Lincoln, Calif.; great-granddaughters Miranda and Kelsea; grandson Ryan Chandler (Zeena Hussain) of Rocklin, Calif.; great-granddaughter Coral Hussain; great-grandson Cole Chandler of Rocklin, Calif., and second cousin Don Lenox (Tommie) of El Cajon, Calif.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Pioneer United Methodist Church, 1338 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA. Arrangements entrusted to Chapel of the Hills.
