Mrs. Nancy King LaHines, 72 years old, widow of the late Dennis LaHines, operator of the old Stock hotel at Sixteenth and Genessee streets, died August 1, 1941, at the home, 3619 Walnut street. She had been ill six years.

A resident of Kansas City fifty years, she formerly was active in the Athenaeum, the Woman's City Club, the American War Mothers and the First Baptist church here. She had traveled extensively. Mrs. LaHines was survived by a son, Paul LaHines of the home; a sister, Mrs. W. W. McNeil, Collinsville, Ok.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Maynard Bird, Fairfield, Conn., and Mrs. Joseph Onorato, New Orleans, and a step-son, Arthur D. LaHines, Rockville Centre, Long Island, night financial editor of the New York Times, and a former assistant sports editor of The Star.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 o'clock Monday, August 4, 1941, at the Stine & McClure chapel. Burial at Union cemetery.
