Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late James Moore and Edith (Faulkner) Moore.
Mrs. Carnes was a member of Set Free Community Church in Marietta.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth Carnes of the home; two sons, Kenneth Todd Carnes and wife, Janice, of Travelers Rest, and Edward Marc Carnes and wife, Dawn, of Travelers Rest; three sisters, Brenda Rice and husband, Wayne, of Travelers Rest, Carol Lisk and husband, Barney, of Charlotte, N.C., and Vera Hammond and husband, Bill, of Sanford, Fla.; a brother, Roger Moore and wife, Theresa, of Travelers Rest; and two grandchildren, Chase and Gage Carnes.
She is predeceased by a brother, James Moore.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
Services were held Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at noon at the funeral home. Burial was at Graceland Cemetery, West.
