Julia Ann Curtis Moore, 82, died Aug. 7 at Sibley Memorial Hospital, Washington, D.C. She was born April 8, 1924, in Warrenton to the late Elizabeth King and John Mason Curtis Sr. She received her primary education in the Fauquier County public schools. In 1937, she married the late Edward Leroy Cooper. In 1949, she relocated to Philadelphia and worked for 37 years at the Lit Brothers department store there. She was predeceased by two brothers, John Mason Curtis Jr. and E. Douglas Curtis. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Cooper Ferguson of Washington, D.C.; a son, Robert Cooper of Philadelphia, Pa.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Edyth Gaskins of Woodbridge and Frances Robinson of Winchester, and one brother, Arthur Curtis of Warrenton. Funeral services were held Aug. 12 at Frazier's Funeral Home, Washington, D.C., with interment at Bright View Cemetery, Warrenton.
