Homecoming
Journal entry by Karl Bakke — 9/7/2016
(Caring Bridge)

In My Father’s house are many dwelling places: if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that were I am, there you may be also. John 14:2-3.

Deanna was received into her heavenly home this morning at 11:40. I suspect she is already hanging some pictures up! I know that her confident and vibrant faith has been a testimony and encouragement to many and I know that she wanted nothing more than to live a life pleasing to God and worthy of the calling to which He has called us as Christians. She was looking forward to seeing her parents again in a pain free environment.

Rachel and Dan and their families and I are grateful to God that her last days and hours were peaceful and without much pain. We are thankful to so many who visited, sent cards and e-mails, prayed for us and encouraged us during these past months. May God reward you for your faithfulness.
