KNOXVILLE, Tenn. --
Clara Sue "Pug" Moorhead Clark, age 67, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2008, at her home. She was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church. She received her RN diploma in 1962 from East Tennessee Baptist Hospital. She worked several years at ET Baptist and other facilities in the Knoxville area before her retirement.
She and her husband loved to travel and especially enjoyed visiting flea markets and retail shops, finding lots of "25 cent bargains."Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Clark; and her parents, Walter Lewis Moorhead Jr. and Sylvia Cooper Moorhead.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Hooks and husband, Brad, of Knoxville; son, Sanford "Sandy" Clark and wife, Crissy, of Springfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Emma Clark and Rylan Hooks; brother, Dr. Walter L Moorhead III and wife, Dr. Carol Ross, of Alaska; sister, Mary Hindman and husband, John, of Harrison, Tenn.; very special friend, Sonja Campbell and husband, Ted, of Knoxville; nephew, Butch Hughes and wife, Pam; niece, Sarah Wilson and husband, Aaron.
The family will receive friends Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Woodhaven Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at 9 a.m. in the Chapel of Woodhaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Byrge officiating. Interment will follow in Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. Woodhaven Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 160 Edgemoor Road, Powell, is honored to serve the family of Clara S. Clark.
