Grace M. Davies, 75, of River Ave., Old Saybrook, wife of the late Raymond Charpentier, died Monday at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on March 29, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna (Valario) Morano.

Grace was a resident of Old Saybrook for many years where she was a Eucharistic minister of St. John's Church, a member of the Estuary Council of Seniors Citizens and the Widow and Widowers Club. She was also employed at the YMCA and Travelers Insurance Co. in Hartford.

She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Ehman of Old Saybrook; a brother, William Morano of West Hartford; a granddaughter, Stacey P. Torello of Stamford; and three nieces.

A funeral procession will leave at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov 2 from the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Rd., Old Saybrook, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John's Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday evening from 4-9 p.m. Those who prefer may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1004, Meriden 06450 or to the Estuary Council of Seniors Citizens, 220 Main St., Old Saybrook 06475.
