Jean P. De Lisi , a long-time resident of Pearland, died on July 18, 2011 at the age of 83. Jean was born on February 28, 1928 in Bound Brook, New Jersey where she was raised and married. She moved to Houston with her husband and children in 1965 and was an active parishioner in her church as a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Republican Party. She is predeceased by her parents John and Virginia Morano her husband Paul F. De Lisi and her sister Susan Makar. Jean is survived by her husband Owen Lee Blacker, her sisters Josephine Passarella, Lillian Corby and her brother John V. Morano Jr., her son Paul M. De Lisi and daughter Nancy J. De Lisi, her grandchildren Paul M. De Lisi, Jr. and Krystal Lea De Lisi and her two great-granddaughters Anna Lynn De Lisi and Victoria Marie De Lisi. She is blessed to have many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 24th, at Niday Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 25th, at 10:00am at St. Helen Catholic Church in Pearland. Interment will take place in her hometown of Bound Brook, New Jersey on July 27th at St. Joseph Cemetery at 10:00am. A visitation at Hagen-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue Bound Brook, New Jersey will be held on July 26th from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, www.mdanderson.org , or to a charity of one's choice.
