Mrs. Catherine Morgan Alexander 86, of Jayess, MS passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 at her residence.
Visitation will be Friday evening at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM and will continue Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until funeral services there at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery at Carter's Creek. Rev. Jimmy Houston & Rev. Justin Morgan will officiate.
Mrs. Alexander was born January 25, 1927 in Tickfaw, LA. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Morgan & Tressie Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Allen Alexander; one daughter, Joan Brent; two brothers, J. P. Morgan & James Morgan & one sister, Pauline Morgan.
Survivors include her husband of 71years, Robert Carl Alexander of Jayess; one son, David Alexander of Jayess; three daughters, Dorothy "Dot" Alexander of Jayess, Brenda Reeves & husband George of McComb and Betty Coon & husband Danny of McComb; one brother, Shelby Morgan of Jayess; two sisters, Maudine Alexander of Summit & Yvonne Adkins of Sterling, KY; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Alexander's grandsons
