" SS Lewisham, built by ....... was a British steamer of 2810 tons.
On May 17th, 1917, Lewisham, on a voyage from Halifax to Le Havre with a cargo of wheat, was sunk by the German submarine U-46 (Leo Hillebrand), west of Ireland.
24 persons were lost."
