Gerald D. "Jerry" Morrison, 82, of Boise, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2013 at a local care center.
Gerald was born on July 28, 1930 in Portland, Oregon to Arthur and Ida Mae (Howell) Morrison. Jerry was in the United States Navy during the Korean War, and married Elaine Bower in 1957 in Weiser, Idaho. Jerry later retired from Aluma-Glass Industries.
Jerry enjoyed fishing, camping and the outdoors. He was a member of the Collister Community Church in Boise, and was a past President, and State President of the F.O.E. Boise Aerie #115.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Elaine Morrison; grandson, Cody (Meagan); three great grandsons; one great granddaughter; his sister, Della Snowball; two sisters-in-law, Eileen Hill and Lois Bridge, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Blaine and Randy, and his sister Phyllis McNeff.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery, 10101 N. Horseshoe Bend Road in Boise.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Collister Community Church, 4709 W. State St. in Boise.
