Rita J. Mitchell of Lewiston died of pneumonia Tuesday at Valley Rehabiliation and Living Center in Lewiston. She was 57.
She was born Oct. 20, 1936, at Buhl, Idaho, to John W. And Freda Morrison Mitchell.
She suffered from Down's syndrome and was unable to attend school. She had lived at Buhl, Nampa, Kooskia and Lewiston.
Survivors include three sisters, Verla Marshall of Yerington, Nev., Syble Gohmes of Buhl and Mable Overmon of Jerome, Idaho.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
